Social Problems Forum publishes both creative review essays of individual and multiple works as well as standard book reviews of individual books, teaching supplements, videos and movies of interest. Reviewers are provided with a copy of the book or teaching supplement reviewed to keep (videos and movies and cannot be suppled unfortunately).

 New books and teaching materials available for review will be announced here as soon as they become available.  Check back periodically or make a suggestion for a specific book you would like to review.

Social Problems Forum is an official publication of the Society for the Study of Social Problems (SSSP), and it is the appropriate venue for academic book reviews. SSSP members make up an interdisciplinary community of scholars, practitioners, advocates, and students interested in the application of critical, scientific, and humanistic perspectives to the study of vital social problems. Social Problems Forum is distributed in hard copy to each of the SSSP’s over 1,800 members worldwide. It is also available to the general public in pdf format via the internet.
