The mission of the Conflict, Social Action, and Change (CSAC) Division is to advance critical scholarship and understanding of economic and social inequalities and to promote activism and social change toward prevailing injustices.   Comprised of activists and scholars from many disciplines, CSAC members are engaged in a variety of research interests, including poverty; global inequality; environmental justice; racial, gender, and sexual discrimination; teaching for change, etc.   The tie that binds members is a shared commitment to using their research and documented experiences in the larger struggle for social justice and social change.   The CSAC Division embraces democratic and participatory research principles and practices and is committed to research of, by, and for those most affected by the social problem.
