Due to low turnout, it was decided we would only brainstorm for next year’s sessions and other ideas to increase involvement. All formal decisions will be made on a case by case basis, via email. 2022 Sessions: Please share with colleagues on social media etc. 2023 Sessions: We will wait to see how this year’s topics/panels go before deciding what to do next year. Also, use the chair’s meeting to explore co-sponsorship opportunities. Awards: Be sure to publicize and ask members and others in the field for suggestions for next year. Newsletter: Feature accomplishments including panels, and pick one in-depth story. Social Media: Make a new twitter account for the conference and future events. Consider others. B. 2022 Society and Mental Health Reception (co-sponsored event with several other sections): Saturday,August 6 from 7:15pm-8:15pm at Grand Café Patio All meeting registrants are invited to this event. Complimentary beer, wine, and non-alcoholic beverages and heavy hors d'oeuvres will be available. II. Next Year's Sessions: Each division is to propose three conference sessions, and at least one of them should be based the annual theme. We can also co-sponsor up to seven panels Consider collaborations with community orgs, movements, non-professional sociologists, researchers, and activists. III.
