What sets SSSP apart from other organizations? o Mutual Aid o Building communities of resiliency and transformative praxis * Discuss awards sponsored by the division o Mixed opinions on whether graduate students have to be part of a division to submit a paper to the graduate student paper award competition (for example, can someone who is not a member of CSAC apply for the award?). We do not want to take away any opportunities from graduate students, as research interests can diverge and evolve. o Honorary mentions in addition to a winner * Recruit undergrad members o What are they interested in? o Graduate school seminar/fair (How to apply for graduate school?) o Establishing an Honors Undergrad Program o More emphasis on Poster Sessions o More virtual events o Contacting undergraduate coordinators to share more information on SSSP so they can share with their students * Discuss the division’s proposed budget o Medium-sized divisions now have a $400 budget instead of $500 o We went over the new proposed budget for 2027. * The Annual Meeting o Sara Tehrani, Jalia Joseph, and Clay Michael Awsumb will all be in attendance at the Annual Meeting.
