Meeting Minutes
1. Welcome and leadership introductions by Kelley Sittner, outgoing chair.

2. Announcements and reminders
a. Announced upcoming “Reimagining Our Worlds from Below: Transnational Conversations on Resistance, Movements, and Transformations; a free virtual SSSP global outreach conference; February 22-24, 2022. (call for papers in fall 2021)
b. Members were reminded to like and share our division Facebook page if they have not already done so. Rob Peralta asked about transitioning page administration to him; Kelley will look into that and get back to him.
3. Recognition of award winners. No winner for Scholarly Achievement Award this year. Graduate Student Paper Competition winner was Caitlin Carroll, honorable mention was Sadé Lindsay. 
4. Committee positions to fill[SK1]  -- Student paper competition is 1-year term. Reviewed responsibilities and workload. Sarah Jane Brubaker (chair), Stephani Williams, and Rob Peralta volunteered.
5. Planning for 2022 Annual Meeting. Discussed the number of sessions and different format types. Proposed a full slate of topics, including three thematic sessions. Some of the sessions came from other divisions and we agreed to co-sponsor. Identified potential divisions to approach as co-sponsors. R. Peralta will start contacting division chairs to confirm our co-sponsorship and to invite them to co-sponsor on our sessions.
