Since this is my first newsletter as Chair of the Family Division, and I was not at the 2016 SSSP annual meeting in Seattle, I want to take this opportunity to briefly introduce myself. I am currently a Lecturer in the Sanford School of Social and Family Dynamics at Arizona State University. My research centers on exploring working mothers and how they negotiate having a maternal body in the face of paid work and motherhood demands. Pictured above are my kids. My son is a freshman here at Arizona State University. I have a daughter in high school, a daughter in middle school, and a daughter who attends the preschool here on ASU’s campus. The five of us moved to Arizona in July… Yes, it was hot. I look forward to a productive year and hope to meet you all in Montreal! --------------2------------------------- SSSP is looking for the next Editor of Social Problems Call for Applications for the next Social Problems Editor: http://www.sssp1.org/file/announcements/Social_Problems_Editor.pdf Got News?
