Presentations Dr. William Cabin presented his research on Medicare impediments to home care of persons with Alzheimer's and their caregivers at the 2018 American Society on Aging conference in San Francisco. He will be presenting on the same topic at the ISA Congress in Toronto in July, and Social Work and Social Development Conference in Dublin in July. Grants, Awards, and Honors Michelle A. Meyer, Assistant Professor of Sociology at Louisiana State University received the 2018 LSU Alumni Association Rising Faculty Research Award. The award is competitive across all departments in the university. This award Òrecognizes faculty at the rank of assistant professor who have outstanding records of scholarship and published research.Ó Dr. MeyerÕs research focuses on disaster recovery, environmental justice, emergent groups, and social stratification in disasters. New Jobs, Tenure, and Promotion Daniel Olmos will start as Assistant Professor of Sociology at California State University, Northridge in Fall 2018! Ainsley E. Lambert-Swain has accepted a tenure track position as an Assistant Professor of Sociology at Bellarmine University in Louisville, KY!
