SSSP Mentoring Programs: Application Deadline-June 30

SSSP is pleased to announce two mentoring programs:

The SSSP Mentoring Program is designed to facilitate interaction between members of SSSP who wish to be matched with a mentor or mentee. The primary objective of this program is to facilitate connections between mentors and mentees for at least 1-year (summer 2023-summer 2024). To become a mentor or mentee, complete the appropriate application form.
Application deadline: June 30

The Meeting Mentor Program is designed to facilitate interaction between new members or graduate students and veterans at the annual meeting. If you are interested in serving as a mentor or being matched with a mentor in Philadelphia, complete the appropriate application form.

SSSP: Online Preliminary Program is Available

2022 C. Wright Mills Award Finalists

The committee reviewed 99 nominated books to select the five finalists. The winner will be announced at the Awards Ceremony on Saturday, August 19 from 5:45pm-7:00pm (Eastern Time). All finalists will be recognized at the Awards Ceremony.

To an outstanding degree, each of the finalists met the criteria for the award:

• Critically addresses an issue of contemporary public importance
• Brings to the topic a fresh, imaginative perspective
• Advances social scientific understanding of the topic
• Displays a theoretically informed view and empirical orientation
• Evinces quality in style of writing
• Explicitly or implicitly contains implications for courses of action

SSSP: 2023 Social Entrepreneurship Paper Awards (Extended Submission Deadline: May 20, 2023)

Alexander Von Humboldt Foundation’s Philipp Schwartz Initiative – Inspireurope+ Stakeholder Forum

The annual Philipp Schwartz and Inspireurope+ Stakeholder Forum will take place May 23-24 in Berlin.
