The Society for the Study of Social Problems has established four travel funds for members to attend the upcoming Annual Meeting. All applicants must be a 2024 SSSP member when applying. Click here to join or renew.

Applicants may only apply to one travel fund: 

• Erwin O. Smigel Award (for unemployed and underemployed sociologists) 
• Lee Scholar Support Fund (for non-U.S. based international scholars from politically, economically, and culturally oppressed groups in countries not considered part of the Global South)
• Lee Student Support Fund (for undergraduate and graduate students)
• Transnational Initiatives Fund (for international scholars from the Global South)
