SSSP ANNUAL MENTORSHIP PROGRAM
The deadline to volunteer to serve as a mentor or request to be matched with a mentor was June 30, 2026. Please check back this fall for information regarding the 2027 SSSP Annual Mentorship Program.
The SSSP Annual Mentorship Program is designed to facilitate interaction between SSSP members who wish to be paired with a mentor or mentee. The primary objective of the program is to foster meaningful mentor-mentee relationships that last for at least one year.
For mentees: Participants are matched with a mentor whose experience and expertise align with their academic, professional, and/or personal development goals.
For mentors: Participants have the opportunity to indicate the specifics of their participation (e.g., mentoring one or more mentees, preferred frequency of communication) and identify the areas in which they are best suited to provide guidance and support.
Mentor-mentee matches are made thoughtfully based on participants' interests, goals, and availability. While every effort is made to create compatible pairings, perfect alignment may not always be possible. Participants are encouraged to communicate openly about expectations, availability, and goals early in the mentoring relationship to ensure a positive and productive experience.
You must be a current SSSP member to participate in the Annual Mentorship Program. If you are not yet a member, please join or renew your membership. All participants are expected to abide by the SSSP's Anti-Harassment Policy.
