2020 General Election

The deadline to vote in the 2020 General Election was March 15, 2020.  Thank you to all our highly qualified candidates who accepted nominations for this important election. We depend upon strong member participation in all aspects of SSSP’s operations and are especially grateful for those who are able and willing to serve the Society. Click here to review the 2020 General Election results.

The extended deadline to make a nomination for the 2021 General Election was June 30. Please check back this fall for the 2022 General Election Call for Nomination procedures.

The deadline to submit nominations for the 2021 General Election has passed.  Next year, we will be electing a President-Elect; a Vice-President-Elect; regular and student members of the Board of Directors; members of the Anti-Harassment Committee; Budget, Finance, and Audit Committee; Committee on Committees; Editorial and Publications Committee; and the Membership and Outreach Committee.

In light of the COVID-19 pandemic and our concern for the health and safety of our members, the 2020 SSSP Annual Meeting in San Francisco has been canceled. The Nominations Committee will meet over the summer. The Board of Directors will approve the slate of candidates for the 2021 General Election in August.

SSSP is committed to ensure that the slate of candidates represents the most qualified and diverse pool as possible for all positions. This includes diversity based on racial-ethnic background, gender, and sexual identities, geographic locations, and institutional settings (e.g., academia, practitioners, organizations, etc.).

If you have any questions, please contact Kristen M. Budd, Chairperson, Council of the Divisions and Chair, Nominations Committee.
