Annual Mentoring Guidelines Checklist for Mentees

I have read the guidelines carefully and recognize that:

Mentor-mentee matching is done thoughtfully, but due to varying availability, expertise, or experience levels, perfect alignment may not always be possible within that academic year (due to teaching schedule, sabbaticals, summer breaks, etc.).

We encourage mentors and mentees to clearly communicate expectations, availability, and goals-ideally in an introductory message or during your first meeting.

Thank you for generously volunteering your time. If your availability has changed since applying, please let us know as soon as possible so we can adjust if needed.

Mentees will reach out to the SSSP Committee on Mentorship with any concerns or if they have not heard back from their mentor after a few attempts to contact them over time.
