2020 General Election Now Open for Voting

The 2020 General Election is now open for voting.  Candidates have prepared online resume forms featuring biographical data, publications, and candidate statements to acquaint the membership with their backgrounds.  Click here to cast your vote.  Online voting began on February 15, and the poll will close on March 15, 2020.  Thank you to all our highly qualified candidates who accepted nominations for this important election.  We depend upon strong member participation in all aspects of SSSP’s operations and are especially grateful for those who are able and willing to serve the Society.

Call for Nominations - 2021 General Election

Nominations are open for candidates to run in the 2021 General Election.  We will be electing a President-Elect, a Vice-President-Elect, regular and student members of the Board of Directors, members of the Anti-Harassment Committee, Budget, Finance, and Audit Committee, Committee on Committees, Editorial and Publications Committee, and the Membership and Outreach Committee.  Please consider nominating a colleague or yourself for one of these offices by completing the online nomination form.

In order to be considered for office, nominees must be current members.  Nominations should include a brief description of the nominee’s SSSP involvement and other relevant experiences.  The Nominations Committee will meet at the SSSP Annual Meeting in San Francisco, CA.  All nominations should be submitted prior to Monday, June 15, 2020.  The Board of Directors will approve the slate of candidates for the 2021 General Election on August 9, 2020.  If you have any questions, please contact , Chairperson, Council of the Divisions and Chair, Nominations Committee. 

Note: If a SSSP member is interested in serving on an appointed committee, the member may select the appropriate committee when renewing membership.  The Administrative Office will give the names to the Committee on Committees for consideration.
