Call for Nominations - 2024 General Election
Nominations are open for candidates to run in the 2024 General Election. SSSP members will be electing a President-Elect/President; a Vice-President-Elect/Vice-President; regular and student members of the Board of Directors; members of the Anti-Harassment Committee; Budget, Finance, and Audit Committee; Committee on Committees; Editorial and Publications Committee; and the Membership and Outreach Committee. Please consider nominating a colleague or yourself for one of these offices by completing the online nomination form.
There should be a commitment to nominating a diverse slate of nominees. This includes diversity based on racial-ethnic background, gender and sexual identities, geographic locations, and institutional settings (e.g., academia, practitioners, organizations, etc.). All nominees must be a current member in order to be considered. Self-nominations are welcome. Nominations should include a brief description of the nominee’s SSSP involvement and other relevant experiences. All nominations should be submitted by 11:59 p.m. (Eastern Time) on Thursday, June 15, 2023.
The Nominations Committee will meet prior to the SSSP Annual Meeting. The Board of Directors will approve the slate of candidates for the 2024 General Election on August 20, 2023. If you have any questions, please contact Giovanna Follo, Chair, Nominations Committee.
Note: If a SSSP member is interested in serving on an appointed committee, the member may select the appropriate committee when renewing membership. The Administrative Office will give the names to the Committee on Committees for consideration.
