Conference Mentoring: Important Reminders for MENTORS:
I have read the guidelines carefully and recognize that:
Mentor-mentee matching is done thoughtfully, but due to varying availability, expertise, or experience levels, perfect alignment may not always be possible within the short timeframe of the conference.
We encourage mentors and mentees to clearly communicate expectations, availability, and goals-ideally in an introductory message or during your first meeting.
Please let us and your mentees know if your attendance at the conference or your capacity to be a mentor in this program has changed, so we can adjust accordingly.
Mentors will reach out to the SSSP Committee on Mentorship with any concerns or if they have not heard back from their mentees after a few attempts to contact them over time.
Our committee will do our best to answer your question or resolve any concerns in a timely, mutual, and respectful manner.
