Conference Mentoring: Important Reminders for MENTEES:

Mentor-mentee matching is done thoughtfully, but due to varying availability, expertise, or experience levels, perfect alignment may not always be possible within the short timeframe of the conference.

We encourage mentors and mentees to clearly communicate expectations, availability, and goals-ideally in an introductory message or during your first meeting.

Please let us and your mentors know if your attendance at the conference or your capacity to be a mentee in this program has changed, so we can plan accordingly.

Mentees will reach out to the SSSP Committee on Mentorship with any concerns or if they have not heard back from their mentor after a few attempts to contact them over time.

Our committee will do our best to answer your question or resolve any concerns in a timely, mutual, and respectful manner.
