Meet 15 Women Leading the Fight Against Climate Change

Climate change has become a  gendered issue, and a correlation has been shown between environment and gender. Deforestation, air pollution, drought, food insecurity, and other environmental degradation stronger affect women than men. In the Global South, women are responsible for eighty percent of all food production, almost all water and firewood collection in households, and suffer more from food insecurity, poverty, and environmental pollution. The SSSP praises the supportive voice of Time magazine to women's leadership in climate change.
