New Release – Global Agenda for Social Justice 3

The Justice 21 Committee is pleased to announce the publication of Global Agenda for Social Justice 3, a new volume from the Society for the Study of Social Problems (SSSP). Written by a distinguished team of scholars, the book examines some of today's most pressing social issues and offers practical policy recommendations for advancing social justice.

Topics include:

  • Period poverty
  • Climate justice
  • Algorithmic bias
  • Labor rights
  • Global inequality

As a benefit of SSSP membership, the volume is available open access through the SSSP membership portal. Members are encouraged to explore the book, share it with colleagues and students, and help spread the word. The volume is also available for purchase through Policy Press and Amazon.

Proposed Resolution Open for Comment

The Committee on Social Action invites members to review and comment on the proposed resolution currently posted on the Society’s website. Member comments will be accepted through July 15. Following Board review and discussion at the Annual Business Meeting, members will have the opportunity to vote online.

Anti-Harassment Discussion Sessions (Registration Deadline: July 10)

The Anti-Harassment Committee will host two virtual discussion sessions in preparation for the Annual Meeting. Participants will discuss the Society’s Anti-Harassment Policy, reporting procedures, bystander/upstander intervention, and strategies for preventing and responding to harassment.

July issue of Social Problems is now available

SSSP members can now access the July issue of Social Problems via our website. Please follow the members-only link for complimentary electronic access or learn more. All issues from 1953 - current are available. Members must login using their e-mail and password. If you have forgotten your password, you may enter your e-mail address below the log-in area, and your password will be e-mailed to you.

Members receive access to Social Problems as a benefit of SSSP membership.
