Accepting Nominations – 2025 C. Wright Mills Award (upcoming 12/15 deadline)

Nominations are open for the 2025 C. Wright Mills Award. Members are encouraged to nominate eligible books for this prestigious award. Self-nominations are acceptable. Authors and/or nominators are not required to be SSSP members. Edited volumes, textbooks, fiction and self-published works are not eligible. Eligible books must be first edition (not a reprint or later edition) and bear a 2025 copyright date. Exceptions may be made for a book bearing a 2024 copyright, but that was not released until 2025 for the first time. Deadline: December 15, 2025

Agenda for Social Justice 3: Solutions for 2024 Selected as Outstanding Academic Title for 2025

We are pleased to announce that Agenda for Social Justice 3: Solutions for 2024 has been selected as an Outstanding Academic Title for 2025 by Choice! These selected publications are chosen for their excellence in scholarship and presentation, the significance of their contribution to the field, and their value as an important treatment of their subject.
