Description: This session examines strain and the formation of values—such as gender norms, attitudes toward pornography, and perspectives on feminism—at the intersection of gender and violence. Presentations draw on theoretical and empirical approaches to analyze how social stressors, gendered expectations, and ideological frameworks shape experiences of victimization, emotional responses, and patterns of violence.
