The 2027 Annual Meeting logo concept and design for the theme "Building Communities for Radical Change" was created by Luz Burgos-Lopez, University of Connecticut-Storrs.

Luz Burgos-López (ella/she) is an artist, scholar-activist-practitioner, and a doctoral candidate in higher education, racial justice, and decolonization at the Neag School of Education, University of Connecticut-Storrs. Her research aims to disrupt the (re)production of settler-colonial racial logics and cultivate epistemic racial justice through Caribbean ways of knowing, offering a transnational, comparative analysis of Latines in the Americas. She was born in Arecibo and raised in the diasporas in the United States as the proud daughter of Nereida from Quebradillas, Puerto Rico, who was the first and only woman in her family to leave the island.
