Announcing the 2014 Call for Papers and the 2014 Student Paper Competitions and Outstanding Scholarship Awards
The Call for Papers for the SSSP 2014 Annual Meeting is now live! View the Student Paper Competitions and Outstanding Scholarship Awards announcement and submit a paper or nominate a book, article, or scholar! We are very excited about our 64th Annual Meeting, to be held August 15-17, 2014 at the San Francisco Marriott Marquis, San Francisco, CA. This year's theme selected by President Anna Maria Santiago is Fifty Years Later: From a War on Poverty to a War on the Poor.
We look forward to seeing you in San Francisco!

Nominations for the 2013 C. Wright Mills Award are now open
Nominations are now open for the 2013 C. Wright Mills Award. Members of the Society are encouraged to submit letters of nomination for this prestigious annual award. Self nominations are acceptable. Edited volumes, textbooks, fiction and self-published works are not eligible. Eligible books must be first edition (not a reprint or later edition) and bear a 2013 copyright. The C. Wright Mills Award, established in 1964, is made annually and carries with it a stipend of $500 for the author(s) of the winning book. The deadline for the 2013 award nominations is December 15, 2013.
