Add Another Division
Additional divisions are available for $10 each. Divisional business meetings are scheduled during the 2019 SSSP Annual Meeting, as well as an enjoyable Division-Sponsored Reception. Make Your Reservation at the Roosevelt Hotel in New York City
This year’s Annual Meeting will be held at the Roosevelt Hotel. Our single/double rate of $229 plus tax, per night includes complimentary internet in your guest room. Please request the SSSP group room rate when booking a room to ensure the correct discount is given (based on availability). Reservations made after July 16th or after the room block is filled are subject to availability and rate increase. Staying in the conference hotel assures close access to all conference activities. Mentors provide valuable knowledge about the SSSP and Annual Meeting activities as well as insight into their own experiences as scholar activists. Five SSSP Awards with an April 15th Deadline
The Arlene Kaplan Daniels Paper Award is awarded for an outstanding paper on Women and Social Justice. The award carries a stipend of $500 and will be given for a paper published in calendar years 2017 or 2018. To learn more visit:

The Doris Wilkinson Faculty Leadership Award recognizes an outstanding faculty member who has exercised an extensive leadership role within the SSSP and other professional societies and within the larger community. The award carries a stipend of $500. To learn more visit:

The Joseph B. Gittler Award is made in recognition of the significant scholarly achievements that a SSSP member has made in contributing to the ethical resolution of social problems. The award carries a stipend of $500.To learn more visit:

The Kathleen S. Lowney Mentoring Award is given annually to an outstanding faculty member or community activist. The award recipient will receive a plaque and up to three of the award recipient’s mentees will receive a one-year SSSP membership as well as annual meeting registration fees for the year the award is presented. The Lee Founders Award is made in recognition of significant lifetime achievements demonstrating a devotion to the SSSP and to the ideals of the founders of the Society and especially to the humanist tradition of Alfred McClung Lee and Elizabeth Briant Lee.
