Submissions for the 2026 Student Paper Competitions are now closed. The submission deadline for both the Call for Papers and the Student Paper Competitions was 11:59 p.m. (Eastern Time) on January 31, 2026.

To be considered for any of the Student Paper Competitions, applicants were required to meet the following eligibility requirements:

• Applicants were required to be students at the time of submission.

• Papers were required to be submitted through the Annual Meeting Call for Papers, ensuring that winning papers are both designated and included in the Annual Meeting program.

• Papers were not eligible if they had been published or accepted for publication prior to submission.

• Papers were not eligible if they had been presented previously at SSSP or presented or accepted for presentation at other professional meetings, unless substantially revised with new data, findings, or theoretical contributions.

• Papers were required to be student authored or student co-authored and could not be co-authored with a faculty member.

• Students were permitted to submit to only one division.
